Don't change your strings to a higher gauge the night before you play in church.

    Yup! I've had to resist changing strings right before a gig many a time, higher gauge or not. One needs practice time to break them in.

    Yah, well, I had to learn the hard way. But most anything worth learning is worth learning the hard way.
